TCP Port Inbound/Outbound

Make sure the following ports are added to Windows Firewall in both the inbound and outbound rules (separated by comma):

6030, 6031, 6040, 6041, 6042, 6043, 6044, 6045, 6050, 6051, 6070, 6217, 6218, 6245, 6246, 6248
Port Name Description Rules**
6217 BadgePass The port that all parts of the system use to access the database information. Outbound: Machine with App (Client, Management Console, DataSync, etc)                    Inbound: Machine with BadgePass Server service
6246 CachedSettings The port that the Client Server uses to contact the FrontEnd server in order to get all the cached settings. Outbound: Machine with BadgePass Client                     Inbound: Machine with FrontEnd service
6030 ClientSync This is a port that is hosted by the FrontEnd server. The AC service, BadgePass Client Server, Event Server, DataSync use this port to register for notifications from the FrontEnd Server (such as cache updates and entity tracking updates) Outbound: Machine with BadgePass Client          Outbound: Machine with Access Control service           Outbound: Machine with DataSync           Outbound: Machine with Event Service      Outbound: Machine with Management Console           Inbound: Machine with FrontEnd Service
6245 CacheUpdateNotice The port that the BadgePass Server uses to contact the FrontEnd server in order to let it know that an object that is cached has changed in the database or there is an entity tracking event. The FrontEnd server then sends out a notification to all its clients to let them know that something has changed. (this is done via the ClientNotify ports) Outbound: Machine with BadgePass Server service             Inbound: Machine wtih FrontEnd service
6248 EntityTracker The port that BadgePass Client Server uses to contact the FrontEnd Server in order to get the entities that are currently onsite from the FrontEnd server. Outbound: Machine with BadgePass Client                   Inbound: Machine with FrontEnd service
6218 BadgePass.EventSystem The port that all parts of the system use to send events to the event system Outbound: Machine with App (Client, Management Console, DataSync, etc.)                        Inbound: Machine with Event Server service
6050 BadgePass.MercAccessControl.Libraries The port that the Mercury Controller uses to contact the access control server in order to make updates to schedules, permissions, cards, etc. in the access control hardware Outbound: Machine with Management Console               Inbound: Machine with Access Control service
6051 BadgePass.MercAccessControl The port that the Mercury Controller or other applications use to contact the access control esrver for direct comands such as Unlock door. Outbound: Machine with Management Console               Outbound: Machine with Monitor Pointe   Inbound: Machine with Access Control service
